I just recently discovered this library after finding that most publishers refuse to sell e-books to me via my local library, or to me personally at any reasonable price. It has now supplanted my use of either my personal library or my local library.
And to think that I used to be reluctant to the idea of piracy... Good job, copyright holders!
The ONLY reason people are buying this bundle is BECAUSE its by a small no name developer and the pro piracy and free everything on the internet groups are supporting them to try and get their message out that it would work if every game company/music company did it.
Nope, I don't care about the true things you said, and even less about the non-true things.
I cared about getting what looked like great games at a great price. I'd never heard of any of the games from the last two bundles, but my kids liked the trailers so we bought the packages for Christmas.
And now I'm addicted to Crayon Physics.
I'd also rather support the EFF. I was bummed to see the Red Cross there.

A more troubling difference is between scanning for copyrighted material and scanning for material that is being illegally transmitted. After all, copyrighted doesn't mean un-sendable, un-uploadable, un-downloadable, etc.
They don't much care about the collateral damage.

Using the life expectancy of 1776, and zero increase in copyright length since, that would make copyright length today between 15-16 years.
That length of time sounds very reasonable, especially compared to the hundred-plus years that this comment is covered.

You're only hurting music when you do that, as you reduce the ability for labels to take on risk and have venture capital for new bands.
Actually, the biggest pirates are also the biggest spenders. For instance, I regular pirate Walking Dead and AHS episodes, because they're not available when I want them. Otoh, if the music or episode is available to purchase when I want it, I'll buy it.
Pirating isn't about saving money, it's about saving time/effort.
