I second that. The winner take all system has resulted in two parties afraid to take any risks or innovate politically. all they seem to do today is invent new ways to attack each other.
charge em for the beer and ask them nicely not to plank on an escalator. That and they made a mess in the bathroom which is going to inconvenience the cleaning crew. The video was amusing. They got stuck on one of those joyous overnight layovers. I'm thinking there was no hotel voucher so they really were trapped at the airport. What do you expect two guys in their twenties to do when you give them no choice but to sit quietly in an airport?
How many times I've been trapped in a terminal with nothing to do. Internet costs an arm and a leg. not allowed in any of those swanky lounges and I have to go on an epic journey to find the one smoking lounge or head back outside. There is only so long I can sit in one of those un-ergonomic chairs before I go nuts.
I worry about ATT's business model not because I am trapped in it but because my grandmother is.
For the last few years my Grandmother did not have a computer or at times a phone to contact us with. So for her Birthday this year we got her an Ipad and set up a data account in our name. I was concerned about the data limit already as this was going to be her primary connection to the internet. What makes me cringe is that my mother got her set up with Hulu+ and installed both it and the netflix application on the device.
"Oh, that's right ... Apple's SDK only runs on Macs. So, if you want to write iPhone/iPad apps, you have to pay money to Apple for one of their computers first."
So my question is this. How likely are you to spend the time porting an iphone app to the android market or the other way around? Which market do you try and sell your product to first?
By creating such a restrictive policy Apple is trying to encourage the talented individuals already developing apps to continue create exclusively for their market. At what point do these freelance developers become quasi employees?
Why just shoot this guy? I kind of like dark helmets idea but I couldn't help but put in my thoughts as well.
Put him in a chamber without a window bed or toilet. Place a locked down terminal in the wall behind some bulletproof glass. Have it display nothing but spam messages. Put some speakers behind metal grills to read the spam to him. Feed him only Spam, bread and water. Force him to consume all those pills his spam advertises as often and as much as a doctor deems reasonably safe. Any side effects that don’t result in death are considered reasonably safe. Continue this until his mind is broken.

Interesting viewpoint. I know that I want to see this article now simply because there is a buzz around it.
Even bad publicity can be spun the right way. the steisand effect combined with the internal memo could end up helping their American sales in the end.
Are there any people who have read the article and have some insight into how the russian public will react?
I apologize for the double post but I felt I had to add this.
People should learn to be skeptical of all sources. Color coding entries only encourages the user to trust wikipedia when he should be questioning the entire site and not just some orange box.
Based on an person's past contributions, WikiTrust computes a reputation score between zero and nine.
This new system creates a public flag based on a ranking produced by the wikitrust system. I spent hours updating and redoing a page only to have someone revert the page in its entirety. Rather then edit my new content the lazy editor who may see this page as his personal hangout has done the best thing to make sure the layman sees only his information.
What does color coding do to prevent this?
I think color coding will only make it harder to become trusted because now a new editor will be consistently flagged while an older editor receives no such penalty regardless of his personal stake in a page or accuracy of his information.
This new feature is nothing more the some foolish attempt to make wikipedia seem more trustworthy to the general public. It does nothing to address the deeper issues plaguing wikipedia as a whole.
"if you have satellite you can watch the game anyway"
I do not have satellite so I will have to take what you say as truth for now. going with that assumption...
Why risk missing the game because you have not bought an expensive programming package from the cable company or subscribed to satellite.
Could this blackout rule be another tactic to encourage the average consumer to buy not only stadium tickets but more service for when they can't be there in person?
visit craiglist sometime. there are more then a few guys advertising there. Some even advertise and sell a whole list of pirated games in a package deal with the mod.
Trying to change any information without admin status will usually get your change reverted by the admin that created that page. Arguing in defense of your edit is like screaming at a brick wall. I think to some of these people its a matter of pride, like their own 15 seconds of fame. No matter how wrong their article is they will not allow anyone to change it.
Lately there have been alot of people who make it their mission to post incorrect information as well. If you look up the group ecyclopededia dramatica you will find a group of human beings dedicated to destroying wikipedia by posting bad information, deleting good information, and generally making an ass of themselves whenever possible.
I am going to stick to a encyclopedia for general information and I will read credible journals and research materials when I need to write a report for class.

This actually makes perfect sense in the mind of the artist formally known as prince.
metered plans

I am already imagining the first months bill.

I don't think this is going to work at all.

Wiki Garbage
As a student I think Wikipedia is garbage.
