What this article doesn't mention, but the Ars article does, is that on top of the $600 hardware, "it also requires a subscription that starts at $7 per month" for the privilege of using this mis-marketed advertising/insurance data dump.
"Google has already redirected a ton of advertising revenue away from journalists who do actual work..."
The Autopian is fighting AI enshittification and employing real jourbnalists. They had a pretty good write-up about how Google has been directing traffic away from them and toward AI slop. https://www.theautopian.com/google-is-why-grandpa-thinks-a-mustang-truck-is-coming-and-its-trying-to-kill-our-business/
2025 has taught me that those civics classes I had to pass to graduate high school were bullshit. The Executive Branch sets the Constitution on fire, the Judicial Branch wipes their ass with the Bill of Rights, and the Legislative Branch either sucks the dick of the Executive Branch or jerks off while watching. I still love this country but I have never hated the government like this.
Even the eye-for-an-eye Old Testament these faux Christians want to use to justify their hatred and bigotry toward non-citizens expressly says in more than one place "don't mistreat them." For example, Leviticus 19:33-34: “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God."
As a practicing Christian, it makes me sick to see the things done in the name of my God. I do not claim to be perfect but I don't think He will look kindly on this. Not knowing His plan though, we may not see what we think of as justice in this world. I am trying to do what I can to follow God's will and make this world better, but I have to keep in mind what really matters it what comes after this life. That is where my true hope lies.
I realized this post may be mocked and ridiculed. That's OK. Jesus loves you, and I'm working on it. I don't want anyone to spend eternity in Hell, not even Trump. I would rather him repent and change his ways.
How sad is it that a site called "BestNetTech" has to give the US executive branch daily civics lessons that they should have learned to graduate high school?
...that if I or anyone in my family are ever pulled aside by loss prevention staff and questioned for this, that store/chain will never get another penny from us and I will tell all 12 of my social media followers.
We have Prime for the "free" fast shipping - it pays for itself as much as we order. But Prime Video is our next to last resort for streaming, just above hoisting the flag.
Once upon a time, one of my favorite features of Roku was searching for content to see where it was streamed. If it was not on a service I already had, or if was only for rent, well, there were alternatives out there but at least I tried to go legit first.
And I lived happily ever after.
The End.
My thought is that the people who are prone to get their electoral information solely from social media are the same people prone to (or actively seeking) confirmation bias.
I've pretty much convinced my parents (I think) that if anyone is trying to sell them anything on the merits of AI, NFT, blockchain, crytpo, or 5G, to walk away. If a product can't stand on its own, none of those "features" are going to add enough value to be worth a premium.
It helped my case when a few years ago a salesperson at their cellular carrier tried to convince them they "were required" to upgrade to 5G phones. Mom said "I'm going to check with my son first." I sent her a coverage map that showed 5G was not available in their service area. She turned into Karen and asked for the manager, and walked out with two brand-new 4G phones.
I loved the press release in response: "Despite Alfa Romeo believing that the name meets all legal requirements, and that there are issues much more important than the name of a new car, Alfa Romeo has decided to change it from Milano to Junior in the spirit of promoting mutual understanding...The Alfa Romeo team would like to thank the public for the positive feedback, the Italian dealer network for their support, journalists for the enormous media attention given to the new car and the Italian government for the free publicity brought on by this debate."
It gets worse

DOH-ge!
Agreed; I love seeing some good new for once in 2025.

I'm glad it's not assigned to a judge who would just immediately dismiss it as the American People having no standing to sue.
Can we just have both sides lose, so everyone has something to be happy about?
In the immortal words of my mother, "We'll see." Phil Spencer has a knack for saying what we want to hear, then doing something else.
Dang it I always spell that word wrong.
100% Gauranteed!

Exaxtly this.

true to life fiction

I "heard" that a FLAC has been on TPB since 2016
Snidely Whiplash FTW
This guy becomes more of a cartoon villain with every article I see about him.
I did my part
I searched "Gina Rinehart" on both DuckDuckGo and Google.
My thought is that the people who are prone to get their electoral information solely from social media are the same people prone to (or actively seeking) confirmation bias.
Snake oil

The best part is this catty response
