Technically not free, seeing as your taxes pay for that library and its contents. But good idea either way.
I know DRM is a bad word on this site, but it really isn't evil. Unless you don't believe copyright should exist, it's illogical to hate people for using technological tools to protect their work, as long as that's all they're doing.
LOL... so innocent.
Hey everyone, check this guy out, he thinks DRM actually works!
Thought his point was pretty clear. Or are you the straw man he was pointing out and are now taking offense?

you can hold a lot of video content on that.
So I take it you've never heard of the piratebay who have been sued till the cows come home and are still online "providing links" today?
Going after sites that provide links to content is just as ineffective as suing your customers. Shut one down, five others jump in to take the users from that original one.
It's the business model not serving the customers what they want, how they want it. Fix that.
Or at the very least, go out of business so someone else can fill the demand.
The publisher then claimed its DRM policy was a success, insisting it had seen "a clear reduction in piracy of our titles which required a persistent online connection".
Or there has been a clear reduction in piracy of all Ubisoft games because not only are people not buying them but not even bothering to pirate them anymore.
I used to use the pirate method to demo games before I bought them. As soon as Ubisoft started going hogshit crazy with DRM and treating customers like shit I started boycotting all their products. That includes not pirating their crapware as well.
Everyone needs to do this until this company disappears forever.
Being a Christian I can say I have a particular view when it comes to abortion and life of the "fetus" "embryo" etc...
Having said that, the bible does have something to say on this matter which most people don't realize or ignore.
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of a creature is in the blood...
Maybe this has some bearing on the ethical portion of things when it comes to ebryos.
Anonymous is generally to protect you from other citizens who may not agree and may make your life miserable for stating it. It's not intended to protect you if you make false, libelous, or have you statements.
or, OR, read the first ammendment...
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
A common mistake when it comes to the constitution is to believe that it gives U.S. citizens rights. It does not. These "rights" are inherent to the citizens of the U.S. from our creator. The constitution does however Limit the government from passing and acting on any laws that violate these rights we do have.
Pretty genius way of phrasing things if you ask me and speaks directly to this particular case.
From TFA:
"In a follow-up letter June 18, the USOC said it "sympathizes with your position," so Voulgaridis was given until the end of 2013 to "come to a resolution."
The committee initially suggested the name "Olympus Gyro," and after Voulgaridis requested "Olympia Gyro," he got the OK."
You mean like this?

"Most Atheists would also quash a publicly-funded anti-religion speech. I certainly would."
Really? So there are plenty of examples of athiests going after "publicly funded" christian speech, but where are the examples of the same against anti-religion(christian) speech?
You have me on the edge of my seat! What's 2?
Well if what you're expecting is for an instantaneous drop in rent once the controls are gone then yea, you'd be sorely disappointed.
What would actually happen if the controls were gone is rent would immediately go up. All those eViL rich landlords getting greedy and all. Then once everyone left because they couldn't afford to live there anymore the landlords would slowly come to the realization that something is better than nothing and drop the rent prices back to more sane/affordable levels.
So no, it's not an instant realization of dropping rent prices, but after some time rent prices would eventually start to drop below where they started in the first place.
And everyone knows that if you hate America then you hate babies and freedom. Do you hate babies and freedom?!?
It's nice to finally have the confirmation of what I already knew was happening with video game reviews. There have been far too many games over the last few years that completely sucked that got above average to great reviews from the vast majority of reviewers out there. You sit there and scratch your head like, but everyone said this game was good... but its horrible.
This particular game I haven't played yet so I can't speak as to how good or bad it is. But, because of this situation in the industry I took to never buying games at full price at launch anymore and waiting several months for them to go on sale before buying. This is regardless of reviews etc. It's sad, but its what we as gamers have to do to protect ourselves from getting burned all of the time. Aside from that, I would recommend going off user reviews rather that editorial reviews of games, you'll get a more accurate representation there I believe.
How much you want to bet the esteemed senator just bought a bunch of stock in a digital cert company
The manufacture isn't "implicated" or have any "liability" at all. Nor are they even obligated to replace the faulty units. Now it would be bad customer service not to fix the problem with the units in question and if they don't other companies may not want to buy from them in the future. But none of this implies the manufacture bears any responsibility in the theft that has taken place.
I build my own computers and upgrade them. I've also worked jobs where people pay me to upgrade theirs. Again, I really don't see a difference between modding your own stuff, and paying a professional to do it when the stuff is something you don't have sufficient knowledge of to do yourself.
Try applying that "modding" part to an Apple computer and let me know how that works out for ya.
LOL. Thanks for the absurd yet strangely relevant comparison of the day.
Re: There are other options
Took the quiz and answered fully honest on all questions... said I'm 95% with Mitt Romney. Gary Johnson was third at 73% for me after Virgil Goode at 83%.
Guess you'd lose that bet.
