Looks like it was Sony's patent. https://content.fortune.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/sony-patent-8246454-01.png?w=840 Hey, at least it's not "show me a McDonalds wrapper to skip".
If they were smart they'd make us pass a test proving we were paying attention to the ads before they let us continue our show. Also the teacher forgot to assign homework today. [ducks at flurry of spitballs]
Yes, I was quibbling with the assertion that Tesla moved its headquarters to Texas years ago. The Texas factory was built quickly, but the first cars were delivered in April 2022. Texas law restricts manufacturers from making auto sales directly to customers. So Tesla has to ship cars out to other states to complete orders placed by residents in Texas. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/texas-law-keeps-teslas-made-in-the-state-from-being-sold-directly-to-texans
Wikipedia says Verizon Wireless has 142.8 million US subscribers. A $1.92 price hike generates $278,460,000 extra cash PER MONTH, I would loooove to see any documentation hinting that Verizon is spending anywhere close to that amount MONTHLY to comply with federal regulations.
"proudly moved Tesla’s headquarters to Texas a few years back" I found articles about Tesla's official relocation starting on Dec 1, 2021. I know, but it just seems like years with how this timeline is going. https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-texas-headquarters-move-from-california-officiallly-complete-elon-musk-2021-12 Seems like if this AG really wanted to get on Musk's good site he'd be using his influence to allow Tesla to actually sell cars in the state where they're now manufacturing them.
Twitter. Is NOT. The. Government.
Shit, we can't even get common carrier rules to apply to ISPs, how in the world are we going to start applying them to individual websites?
Having counsel present is the human equivalent of cryptonite, garlic, or cell phone encryption.
I don't see what the big problem is, Miranda rights clearly state "Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney; unless I can fast-talk you out of it, trick you into confessing, or just ignore your rights until you break." Right?
It's a trigger law in that it currently does nothing because there's a statute which supersedes it. But if circumstances change somehow HB20 would be "triggered" and actually be enforceable. It's not stated within the law, just what results from the current interpretation of the text. I'd liken it to CSS, if you set a page background to red but there's a class on it which says green, the page is green. Until the class is removed, and then it's immediately red by default.
Follow up questions on whether he's worried about publicly contradicting the State's claim elicited this:
Even the leaked Dobbs opinion would show my opinion doesn’t legally control. https://twitter.com/BriscoeCain/status/1526309448431583232Seems like he should be leading the charge to fix the law that doesn't do what he intended if the courts have to ignore his intent; unless it's just intended to spawn frivolous lawsuits.
So where's my lower priced single concurrent stream plan? And refund for having oversubscribed for years?
Aren't you interested in what the "Coming to DVD" releases for fall 2006 are?

If you really believed Twitter was the de facto public square, I fail to understand how one person buying it outright would make everyone else feel better about the way it was managed.
Yup, hang him out to dry. He was in blatant violation of department policy, why in the world would they spend a dime to assist in his defense?
Really disappointed I got to the end of the article and he hadn't claimed to have invented email in 1993.
FYI, there's a good amount of physical prior art.

Or the patent was just a cleverly placed advert for McDonalds which is now lodged in your grey matter.
