The lie that blue states are more dangerous are just that, lies.
Per capita the most dangerous sates are:
New Mexico
Louisiana
Arkansas
South Carolina
Tennessee
Alaska
Missouri
Oklahoma
Colorado
Arizona
From the group that screams they don't want the government telling them what to do they sure like having the government tell them what to do. How about these people parent their kids and monitor and restrict their access?
I agree that FSD is less than half baked currently and letting out in the public at this state without harder restrictions is not a great move imho. What I disagree with is how regulators are going after Tesla. Musk is outspoken and can be problematic but they are millions of miles ahead technologically compared to any other US automaker. Watch a Sandy Munro video, he is the expert. He demonstrates it almost daily.
Even with all the FSD crashes, which many were attributed to autopilot or FSD and turned out to be false. For the Arizona fatality, there was a driver behind the wheel who took no action and they hit and killed someone. That's 1 in hundreds of thousands of testing. It was still statistically safer than a human driver.
I grew up in Salinas. Its a lower income agricultural area just a stones throw from Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. Lots of working class people that do a lot of manual labor. The kind of people that get ignored. Its the kind of area where the city can't afford to put up municipal broadband and not a big enough area for Google to care to install fiber everywhere.
He is going after people who have unlimited data on their phones but limited data for tethering and are circumventing the limitation. The article is misleading in that they are going after unlimited data users where they are clearly going after people violating the terms of their agreement.
In New York a guy was getting stabbed and the transit police were on the other side of the door and they said they were under no obligation to help the man. Why is the public under obligation to help the officers?
As others who said, why would we interevene when one is armed and his armed buddies are on the way. You may get thrown in jail as they may think you are attacking the officer as well. Its a tough call but no good deed goes unpunished in this litigious society.
Does this not fall under some wiretapping laws? They are spying on you without your knowledge. I doubt that the cell contract covers this depth of record keeping.
Here in California, as a state agency, we are forced to buy circuits through the California Technology Agency which nearly triples the cost than if we contracted with AT&T, Verizon, Cox, etc on our own. In fact, in many areas we are forced to buy a T1 line. In San Diego the T1 line was $1550 a month, for 1.44 meg while Cox offered a Fiber solution for $875 but we were not allowed to purchase it. So some things look great but really government purchasing and services sucks.
I have an HTC Touch on the Sprint Network and they stripped features off. Well several months ago I enabled the GPS, EVDO Rev A and loaded a programs for MMS messaging since none of those were available.
With a nice phone you can upgrade before they "let" you. Now the official EVDO rev a and GPS rom is out so I loaded that but kept the MMS software. Its great. I still buy the newer stuff but I think when I grab a Touch Pro it will be with me for some time. The processors for the WinMo phones are not getting faster so what's the point of getting a new one?
For laptops I just throw Linux on and I have a very capable desktop. One laptop I regularly use is a 500 mhz IBM 240x, which has a 10 inch screen and no optical drives. I think its crazy to keep throwing all of this stuff away, even if parts are recycled I am sick of them expecting hundreds of dollars a year for the newest.
Apple is the worst for this. Every year if not sooner they add a feature to something. The iPhone 3G is a joke. My HTC Touch had those features a long time ago and its less stable than any WinMo device I have every owned.
The problem is that its to kill conservative talk radio. The major media outlets are liberal and they want Fox to shut up and they want the conservative dominated AM radio to be done in.
I keep a black berry and work a salaried position but I am not expected to be "on call" and available after business hours but I keep myself available since I deal with Game Wardens. If I worked hourly I would shut off the Black Berry after work if I was not getting compensated.

Intervention
From the group that screams they don't want the government telling them what to do they sure like having the government tell them what to do. How about these people parent their kids and monitor and restrict their access?
What?
I thought they did not want the government raising their kids but here they are insisting the government raises their kid.

Misleading

Do unto others

We have the opposite problem

kill them with kindness
Al always asks to be polite, not out of legal need. Its just professional courtesy.
Software updates FTW

Its a Trap!

Give up
