We have tons of photos and video of the protestors, some even taken by themselves as they posed for selfies inside the Capital. They should be tracked down, arrested, and charged. Further, the charges should reflect the fact that people died because of and during their actions.
The same for those that instigated the attempted coup. And that includes, especially, the Instigator in Chief.
I'm tired of hearing about "healing". If there are no penalties for this then we're just going to see more of the same.
I wrote a Medium article describing several of the reasons why I thought people shouldn't use Flutter, one of Google's cross-platform development tools.
And high on the list was the fact that Google rather notoriously runs hot and cold on projects. What's up-and-coming one month can be flushed down the drain the next. Often with little to no warning.
As we see again here. Software, Servers. APIs, Hardware. Doesn't matter. It doesn't meet some internal threshold for success and boom. You're outta here!
Just like information coming out of the White House. "I know I said 'nation-wide', but... I mean, it's in some places in NY and in some places in LA, so... like... that's nation-wide, right?"
"It's even... I read somewhere... it's even in half a baseball field in Chicago, so it's even in the middle of the country, right?"
"All these people trying to say it's not nation-wide... sad really. Just more FAKE NEWS!"
"... and the alternative stores will have a vested interest in keeping their offerings clean." Or not. If there's one thing most of the alternative Android stores have shown it's that people seem to prefer "free" to "safe".
Dear Government. Please make the big bad Apple take less of our money and we, like AT&T, Sprint,Verizon, and many other proud US corporations will definitely consider passing on at least some of those savings on to our customers. Seriously. We promise to think really hard about it! Epic
Of course, the idiot doesn't realize that all China needs to do is take his precedent and use it to force Google, Facebook, et al, to sell their Chinese business operations to Chinese companies.
So...
1) Problems if we don't do something about it...
2) Did something about it...
3) Almost no problems...
Because we did something about it.
Not sure I'm following the illogic here....
It's not really like we can do much about it. The people at the top proposing the mergers are doing it to make even more money. The people in government approving the mergers came from the industries they're "regulating" and will return there to reap their rewards once they've served their function.
They mitigate the risk of health coverage by distributing it over all clients... and all too often they maximize the profits by refusing said health coverage to as many of those clients in as many cases as possible.
In an "ideal" world, they'd collect premiums and pay... nothing.
For those unaware, on the new iPhone OS's, squeezing the sleep/wake button and the lower volume button for a couple of seconds will lock the phone such that a passcode is required to open it.
If at all possible, I'd do this before (or while) having to hand the phone over, and I'd definitely do it before hitting a TSA or Homeland security checkpoint.
It's gotten to the point where some people recommend traveling with a burner phone that has a minimum amount of personal information contained within it.
They still use lots of long and short haul trucks that route between cities and terminals.
There's also a push to have deliveries made you your local supermarket, department store, etc., for later pickup. No more having packages lifted off your front doorstep.
Either way, fewer truckers and drivers.
Who owns the block infrastructure? Laid the fiber? Maintains the service? Who updates existing neighborhoods?
Seems to me you're simply setting up another "last mile" problem.
"at great expense to taxpayers"
Which part about funded by a bond issue was unclear?
What's clearly needed here are self-driving cars so the idiots can text to their hearts content without threatening to kill themselves, their passengers, and anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.
I cut over two years ago, and while I still watch some TV, almost all of it comes from Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Now (total cost: $37/mo).
Occasionally when I'm on a trip I'll turn on the TV in the hotel room and try to watch "normal" television, with all of the ads and crawlers and interstitials and interrupters... and I wonder just who would be dumb enough to pay over $100/mo for that kind of abuse.
Looks to me like it's biased in favor of Trump.
I typed in "Donald Trump ch" and failed to get "Donald Trump cheating". In fact, I have to go all the way to "Donald Trump chea" to even get "donald trump cheated architect"...
I think this is more about controlling pricing A movie might be marketed in one country at one rate but priced lower elsewhere.
Re: Re: Just glorious
Did he just want more donations? According to reports Donald was watching and delaying the decision to send in the National Guard. So... what bothers me is what would have happened had they broken in, been just a minute or two faster, and actually managed to capture Pence and Pelosi? Or AOC? Would they still be alive? Would Donald, watching from afar, have instigated martial law to "contain" the issue? And then used the disruption to call for more elections after he'd had a chance to get more of his minions in place to "ensure" the process was "fair"? We joke about this and about guys like this now... but it was that close from not being very funny at all.
