EPSON pulls similar crap. After a certain number of ink cart cycles, the printer BRICKS itself insisting that the ink pad (the sponge that soaks up excess ink) be replaced. It's a simple procedure with several online videos showing how, but EPSON BRICKS the printer with a message that you have to take it to an authorized repair shop to replace the ink pad. Power cycling, and other tricks don't work. If I had been in the middle of a print job with a deadline, I would have been screwed.
EPSON requires their proprietary "repair" software to unbrick the printer. There are 3rd parties selling their software that will supposedly unbrick the EPSON printers. FTS. I trashed the EPSON and got a Brother instead. Time will tell of they pull a similar trick.
Not a 1A violation "because [the AG] appears to be asking media matters to show their work"?!?
Wrong.
Just wrong.
Completely wrong.
Absolutely wrong!
You should sue your school district for failing to teach you the basics of the US Constitution. (Homeschooled?)
Here. I'll help:

No charge.
Your welcome.
NO portion of the US Government is allowed to ask/request/demand that ANY press outlet just "show its work" under the US Constitution. ANYone who has read and understands the Constitution knows that.
That Koby does not, speaks volumes.
READ THE CONSTITUTION.
And please don't embarrass yourself by commenting on Constitutional matters until you've done so.
Or not. Worth a laugh and an eye-roll at least.
This is another GREAT example of reich-wingers providing a public service by showing everyone how stupid it is to be a bigot.
when people see state governments asserting the right to take children away from parents <<<
Bold assertion, but NO examples. Essentially, a BS claim with NO facts to back it up. SOP for simpletons.
How about THIS for "state governments asserting the right to take children away from parents"? -
The Florida legislature passed a bill Thursday that will let the state take transgender minors away from their families if they are receiving gender-affirming care.
The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 26–13, mainly along party lines, and the House shortly after by a vote of 83–28, again along party lines. The measure now goes to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis, who has previously expressed support for it and will likely sign it into law.
"Rocketry is hard" - True, but don't confuse difficulty with stupidity.
How many Mercury, Gemini, Apollo/Saturn mission boosters failed? Zero.
How many Shuttle missions failed? 2 out of 135.
Some of rocketry is hard, some isn't. Rocket scientists and engineers have known for OVER 75 YEARS now that a thrust deflector or flame bucket is REQUIRED for even relatively low-powered rockets to avoid damage to launch structures and the booster itself.
That Musk's SpaceX minions thought that launching such a powerful rocket without a flame bucket of some sort can only be described (by anybody with a passing interest in rocket development) as "idiotic".
The article never mentions "laws" at all. That's a different tree for barking up.
The FTC most definitely has the power to do as the article states (establishing trade rules and enforcing them), as it was empowered to do so by law - through legislation passed by Congress and signed into law by President Wilson over 100 years ago.

Specious claim from troll dork bigot vs peer reviewed studies at Columbia University that contradicts the troll dork bigot claims.

So hard to know who to trust these days.
The full quote (from P.J. O'Rourke, BTW):
"The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it."

Despite the typical almost-honest hair-on-fire rhetorical spin expected from a John Birch Society mag like "The New American", the bill is merely a grant program for smaller departments that is aimed to address issues such as the one here - de-escalation training - along with other benefits such as signing bonuses for new hires, retention bonuses, etc. - real "radical" stuff. /snark
The bill is short and a simple read
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/6448/text
Even the Bircher mag spells out the mundane proposals, but then couches them in Jack D Ripper craziness "OMG! THEY'RE GOING TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY BY PROVIDING GRANTS AND TRAINING FOR POLICE OFFICERS!!1!"
Kinda crazy that the John Birch Society is still around, but I'm sure some of its readers are addled on the extremist's rush, along with preserving their Precious Bodily Fluids by drinking only Russian vodka and pure rain water.
For those thinking, "Ish jusht light pollushun. No probs!"

Again, no examples. How sad and pathetic of a character do you have to be for this to be ANYbody's biggest concern in 2023? Weird. WTF? Where did this incoherent word salad come from? Crack pipe? Meth hit? InfoWars OD? Keep talking, MF.How REAL rocket scientists (and rocket engineers) do it (from the link provided): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKtVpvzUF1Y

You misspelled "reich-thinking".
Actually reading the WSJ article might bring to you a different conclusion.
