maybe you should re-read the article... as stated re: The Economist article... "Most of the article is about TV piracy". It's not just about newspaper pirates...
good gosh... hello, BestNetTech, welcome to the 21st century... unless you're in cave watching tv via antenna, you pay for cable or satellite service, thus, you pay to watch sound-bite network news. Except for the Washington Compost, LA Times and NYT, every other news rag depends on advertising, not subscriptions for revenue. So, quit this sense-less rhetoric re: news pirates...
fact... AT&T has the worst cell phone coverage of all the service providers... proof positive, even notice the infamous 3G map they displayed in tv commercials; they compared themselves to Verizon in 3G availability... the real noticable diff in the tv commercial was overall coverage, gapping white spots for AT&T.
And now, at least via this article, AT&T has data handling issues with iPhone... glad I have a Droid... I live in smalltown America, dropped AT&T becasue of limited service, Verizon saved-the-day... even in the most remote areas, I get at least 3-bars... AT&T stinks.
totally correct... what a concept... it's basic 101 Capitalism, and fortunatly Microsoft is a day late and a dollar short, thus, missed the moblie craze... go Apple.
"need" a tv is incorrect... "want" a tv is more correct. "need" implies worth; since tv is totally worthless, no one even wants one...example, GE's dumping NBC, and the buyer is part of the declining industry - Comcast. The wireless phone has won the game, good bye tv...
and it applies to climate data... most data came from a UN study which is always suspect... as we have now learned there an equal number of noted scientists that state: global warming is a hoax
Warren Buffett, mister broadband... he bought Burlington Northern for right-of-way... his investment in Level 3 Communications, one of the largest broadband providers, just sky-rocketed... Level 3's angle is laying fiber along rail-lines, add B.Northern to the equation... it's huge, enormous...
It didn't take a filmmaker to deliver bogus reports for fact checking... the newspaper industry will print anything; they rarely fact check. Especially true when it's an article we-the-reader know the subject, and often say... that's not how it happened, it isn't the truth... thus, the reason the print and tv media deliver sound-bites
geez... how come no one uses their brain... oh, no we must have gov't oversight... if you don't trust your doc, get a 2nd opinion, or find a new doc... if the treatment/medication sounds too good to be true; it probably is...
Get a life, look in the mirror... gov't oversight ain't the answer...
what is it with you people... running a redlight is violation, and a very dangerous one... very serious accidents and deaths occur due idiots trying shave a minute from their frivolous schedule, while off course, talking on the cell phone... so, you idiots use legal hogwash to get-out of the dangerous violation... pay your fine, and pay attention... next time you run a redlight you might be killed... idiots
yup, the question is "If the tickets were legitimately bought, why shouldn't the station be able to sell them or give them away?" underscore "if", we don't know because the author didn't investigate... the rest of the article is hyperbole...
blah, blah, blah... a car runs a red light, the registered owner gets a ticket... use cameras at every red light, if needed... no one has posted anything about the violent accidents due to running a red light which cost tons of $$$ for police, EMT's, hospital cost, missed work, etc... oh geez, everyone will have med insurance, so, who cares... I DO...
so, why is a municipality required to announce where a camera to be located... it's a violation to "run" a red light... everyone, me included, is sick-and-tired of drivers running red lights, not yellow's; agree, the yellow light time should be standardized
All the flowering verbiage about creative hedge funds and super used car sales folks disguised as "investment bankers"... it's actually rather simple; it's called a ponzie scheme... WI and the NYC Subway are the last guys in line...
Sorry, the term newspaper is an oxymoron... inference being "news" on "paper".... better to call it a storypaper. The print media is competing with the tv media, tv is all about drama-creation, so, the print media has followed... thus, the name storypaper... both forms of the media "create" the same stories, so, watch and listen to the storypaper via tv... Reality tv is a true oxymoron...
