  I think what she is trying to articulate is that if we don't know how to be alone from time to time, we are going to be a pretty fucked up bunch of folk. You see it already on the bus, the sidewalk, metro whatever. People are constantly engaged in their phones, "communicating" with their friends as opposed to having an interesting conversation with a stranger on the bus. Hell, just yesterday some lady told me all sorts of personal things about her life and her issues with her daughter. It was interesting that someone would open up to a complete stranger.
  
  Her argument, seen through my own interpretation, makes plenty o' sense.

  You are smarter than this. You don't have to pay any money, you can just sit at home with your enormous hard drive and listen to your gigantic music collection.
  
  the 25 dollars is for cloud access on devices that otherwise would be unable to store so much music. stop arguing apples and oranges.

  I accidentally flew with a pocket knife last weekend. I had no problem getting through security with it at both airports I was at. I did not realize the pocket knife was in my carry-on until I was unpacking it at home.

  As a graphic designer, I can confidently say that doing work for free gets me nowhere. Free does not get me 'exposure.' Free does not pay my bills. Free does nothing but devalue the work that I do. Design contests are a joke. That said, I think this is a misguided post from Masnick.

  Seriously, F**K those ads that you have on this site that pop out every time I mouse over them. It took me no less than 7 attempts to read the top headline without that ad popping out. I know you are trying to make some money through ads, but I think you should limit the ads that just seriously piss off users.
