Comment on CISA director says Microsoft and Twitter should be more like Apple in terms of security by W Pontius
Security standards from the Government. The bureaucratic system that gave bonuses to the Government bank auditors that were supposed to prevent the banking meltdown in 2007-2008. The Government checks and balances tracking the $19 billion lost to waste, fraud and abuse in 10 years in Afghanistan (90% from waste). $3 billion alone between 2020 and 2022. On top of the $15.5 billion lost between 2009-2017. (Stars and Stripes) The security that allowed the FBI to abuse the FSIA database for two years, or maybe the security and oversight of the NSA. Congress certainly doesn't have oversight, the NSA lies and tortures the English language when it testifies to Congress. The vast amount of data is not "collected" until an analyst looks at it. So data can be retained for decades before it is collected. The Government standard for security is about as tight as Facebooks and Twitters. Couldn't secure a sack lunch.

Microsoft clearly dislikes those who dislike their newer UI and may targeting, Russia-style, those who try to circumvent its bad and authoritarian new ideas.

W10 had nothing to offer over W7 when it comes to functionality. Many people use W10 only becase W7 went out of support. Functionality wise W11 is even worse, It comes with more bloatware and unreasonable hardware requirements.

Bing is still and again spitting in my face their mobile results page, even in a desktop computer running Windows 11 Pro. Happens with both Opera and Edge. Took it for a while, but no more. Congrats MS, you made me switch back over to Google after 6 years, what they couldn't do on their own, you did for them. I didn't even remember what the Google page looked like, none of it.

In reply to Mike Lukic. I am an "old timer", started with PCs back in the days of DOS. Even before PCs with several mainframes where I learned basic UNIX, which I dialed into from an Apple IIe at the blistering speed of 600 baud. I was only stating that I think Microsoft should finish migrating the Control Panel to Settings. I can only comment on what I use/need or don't use/need and a lot of useless features, gadgets and unfinished work is clutter, garbage, junk, detritus, flotsam and jetsam...etc. Too each their own.

Comment on Twitter updates its Violent Speech Policy to ban wishing ill on others... unless it is hyperbolic by Eric Sleeper
I'm not sure I follow the title - 'unless it's Hyperbolic' (which means exaggerated). All I know, Twitter is trying to be the place you don't get banned just for asking questions or suggesting anything opposite of the left Agenda. If you suggested Covid came from a lab (China) - Ban. Challenge Trump is a Russian Spy - Ban. Push for the government to investigate Hunter Biden's laptop and business dealings - Ban. About a dozen more examples of how the left silenced people with questions. However - down vote if you feel conservatives should be silenced and freedom of speech is only for the left party.

Paused Windows update for the next 5 weeks. Hopefully this and other hidden major bugs get reported and addressed by then. Won't be installing anything but definition updates...
