I feel like this would’ve been the perfect place to talk about Bluesky giving a free pass to known bigot and harasser Jesse Singal. It’s a content moderation, Trust & Safety, and speech issue. Why didn’t you talk about it here?

Re:
What is there to talk about?
How many people can’t figure out how to use the block button?
Re: Re:
If only it were that simple…
Re: Re:
They guy is brigading against trans people and more on Bluesky and doing what he can to evade blocks and shit so he can keep up his mob tactics. Bluesky gives him a free pass. The block button isn’t the solution. He’s violated Bsky ToS multiple times over at this point and it feels like they just want him on there at this point.
John Roddy said it well on the BestNetTech Discord:
This is a major Trust & Safety failure that podcasts like Ctrl-Alt-Speech should absolutely discuss.
Re: Re: Re:
You are brigading on this topic, regardless of whether you’re right about the issue. There’s a link to a feedback form under Contact at the bottom of the page. Stop shitting on all the comments sections.
Re:
I’m sure if you just post this topic one more time, it’ll achieve what you want. I mean, it hasn’t the last several times, but one more time ought to do it. This incessance definitely doesn’t make you look irrational and annoying, undermining any point you’re trying to make.

Why was it flagged? I’m asking why a big Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, and Speech issue that happened this week went ignored. I really want to know the hosts’ perspectives on this.
Re:
It was flagged because it’s spam bro. You can use the submit a story function if you want. Otherwise you can fuck right on off.

Like, I really would like to know your thoughts on how Bluesky is enabling someone who’s solely there to harass people, to just stay there, when anybody else would get banned.

Re:
Why not block the user you do not like instead of insisting that person be blocked by everyone you piece of shit tyrant.
Re: Re:
Why doesn’t Bluesky ban the guy who’s violated their ToS multiple times over? It’s not me being a “tyrant” to ask a platform to follow its own rules, nor is it too much for me to ask people with expertise in discussion of Content Moderation and Trust & Safety to discuss this on their podcast.
Re:
Did you read their post?
It said “Block me and move on”
Is that too offensive for you, tyrant?
Re: Re:
Whose post? Jesse’s? They guy who specifically evades blocks, therefore violating Bluesky’s ToS, in order to continue to brigade and harass people? He’s asking for people to block and move on?
No. The solution is to block, report, and continue making noise about how much of a failure Bluesky’s Trust & Safety team is on this issue. And maybe, just maybe, get podcasts like Ctrl-Alt-Speech to cover the issue since it’s a big issue with Trust & Safety.
